Karl Leon is a writing director and producer based in Germany and San Francisco.
His background comes from commercial film development in europe’s leading film production house. He worked on several international commercial and independent film productions and award winning music videos.
Karl works aim to undiscovered storytelling formats and new digital strategies.
His works also focuses on exposing social problems of disadvantaged sections of the population.
During first lockdown in early 2020 he produced several music livestreams to give artists a digital stage and support the struggling music and art culture. He produced a video series consisting twelve digital DJ Livesets from PAL Hamburg and thirteen digital concerts on extraordinary locations with the streaming collective Broke.butlive. Currently Karl dedicate his focus on automate video content productions with the 2019 founded software startup cofenster.

This was by far the most emotional project I have ever been working on. Through this life changing journey I was forced to open my eyes. Realizing that we tend to ignore what we don’t want to deal with. But ignoring doesn’t change things, it doesn’t make them go away. Challenging myself at first, I want to ask everyone to rethink their actions. Are we willing to get out of our comfort zones to change problems? Or do we rather want to stay silent and be content with our own lifes?
Letting people drown in the Mediterranean Sea is unbearable and against any humanitarian values. Instead of closing borders, we need a Europe that is open, cities that show solidarity and harbours that are safe.
SEEBRÜCKE is an international movement, supported by several civil society alliances and people.

Advertisement, propaganda, posters, schoolbooks, postcards – everything. In a digital world, those colours surround us in our daily analog lives.
